Green & Dale Associates worked closely with Deakin University Burwood Campus to develop a creative landscape design for the redevelopment of their Central Spine Precinct, a major ‘gateway’ to the campus and it’s various buildings. A key objective was to create an attractive environment and revitalise the existing area to present as the focus of the campus for students. It was also necessary to tie together the various smaller scale re-developments that existed into a single coherent entryway, and rationalise the existing path system. Further, the project included planting of structurally diverse native species as part of the University’s biodiversity policy, with the aim of attracting native birdlife to the campus.
